Sadly, you can’t enjoy this excellent battery life of the Switch Pro controller when it has power issues. Therefore, do the following steps to figure out the solution on how to fix Nintendo Switch Pro Controller power issues:
- Disconnect the Nintendo Switch AC adapter from both ends and leave it for about 20 seconds.
While waiting within this 20 seconds, make sure that the AC adapter is the official Nintendo Switch AC Adapter (Model No. HAC-002). Probably you can resolve the problem by replacing it if you are not using the official one. We recommend you to check for any possible damage on the AC adapter such as nicks, kinks, or frayed cables. You need to replace the AC adapter if it is damaged.
- Try to connect the official Nintendo Switch AC adapter directly to the Switch Pro Controller and a wall outlet. If it is charging, the recharge LED next to the USB connector should turn on. This recharge LED will power off after the battery charge is complete.
When this recharge LED is on, try to press any button. If you find the player LEDs turn on momentarily and then shut off, you need to pair the Switch Pro Controller to the console. If the player LEDs do not turn on, but you see the recharge LED on, charge it for 15 to 30 minutes, then observe it again.
